Usage

This OW-WHEEL(S) assembly allows for a very particular sequence of movements and a potentially interesting result.

By capturing a current, it creates a rotation, or, when rotated, it creates a current.

This movement can be appreciated as it is,
or transmitted, to a bicycle pump, an old coil with a magnet, ... or generated in whatever way was desired: placed under a pedal boat, for example, or behind a rowboat.

Depending on the intended use, materials, dimensions, frame or casing are different.
Manufacturing plans are generated automatically based on these variables and your preferences. And a method has been devised to build it in a way that is affordable, easy to maintain, and even secure.

Studies, research and development are expensive, but maybe less so if you profit from them.

Performances

A very large area in one direction, a very small one in the other...

*The calculation in revolutions per minute below, based on wind speed and the actual gear ratio of the model shown, is divided by 3 to over-account for friction and other slowing factors. The estimated kWh calculation is based on a simple 90A car alternator.

-> OW-WHEELS : * rpm,
output* : : rpm, to a small 12V car alternator : Wh (% of its capacity)

The transmission system is designed to smooth the rotation by being driven only when the rotation produced by the wind is faster, and also thanks to a variator.
The assembly shown naturally orients itself towards the wind, but can also, if fixed in a corridor, accept the wind in both directions, its output rotation remaining unidirectional.

Securities

The prototype model shown already includes the following safety features: the stronger the wind, the more it reduces its sail area; and if the wind is too strong, it folds up completely.

The prototype model shown also includes a net, not shown in the 3D view, surrounding it entirely and preventing any debris from entering or leaving the rotation area.

All safety features are activated mechanically according to the wind, and can be controlled via a mobile application.
Since not all of these security measures are necessarily appropriate in all cases, they are not necessarily included.
